Our client specialized in providing a wide range of electrical equipment solutions and struggled with the manufacturing complexity in many of their high-mix and highly configurable products. Operators constantly struggled with variation in production and relied on engineering and tribal knowledge to build products. To improve this process, our client partnered with Implementation Engineers to implement a dynamic Digital Work Instructions solution that guided the operator through specific assembly instructions based on the unique configuration for each order. These instructions included rich multimedia including videos and 3D models and various data collection points to capture critical process data. Activities during IX® included:

  • Documented the assembly processes, including standard options, and provided standard work documents for Tulip replication
